Yes, even we deal with plumbing problems at home. Low pressure from our well pump sent us digging for answers, and there are really only two things that cause that kind of pressure drop - a rupture in the drop pipe or a failing well pump. We pulled the pump to find out which one it was.

Turns out the drop pipe was kinked. The last person who worked on it forced it in wrong, and that kink was strangling the water flow the whole time. That tight bend in the drop pipe caused a crack right at the kink point - you can see exactly how bad the damage was. Not a slow failure. A full compromise in the pipe wall.

We pulled the old well pump and drop pipe completely, replaced both with new components, and sent everything back down clean. No shortcuts. When you're working with a well system, a bad installation doesn't just hurt water pressure - it can damage the pump itself over time and leave you with a much bigger repair bill down the road.

We had some good friends come out to help pull the pump and get it all sorted, and we're grateful for that. Good help makes hard work go faster. The underground side of this job is now solid. Next step is building out a proper well house to protect everything above grade.

This kind of work - pulling well pumps, diagnosing pressure issues, replacing drop pipe - falls right in our wheelhouse when it comes to underground utility repairs and pipe repair work. If your well pressure has been off or you suspect something isn't right down below, don't wait on it.
